AI-Generated Summaries

When you use the AI summary feature, the following data processing occurs:

• Transcript processing. We retrieve the video's publicly available subtitle transcript and send it to an AI language model for summary generation. The transcript is processed temporarily and is not stored beyond the generated summary output.
• Generated content. The resulting summary text, tags, and key points are stored on our servers and made publicly accessible at a permanent URL. Summaries are associated with the video ID, not with your user account.
• Usage tracking. We record the number of summaries generated per user per day for rate-limiting purposes. This counter is stored as an aggregate number and does not include the content of the summaries.
• No AI training. Your input data and generated summaries are not used to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. The AI model is hosted separately and processes data only for the purpose of generating the requested summary.
• Third-party AI processing. Summary generation may involve sending transcript data to a third-party AI model hosted on infrastructure operated by us or our service providers. No personal user data is included in these requests.
