Browse the results

Results show videos matching your keywords, sorted by relevance by default. Each result shows the video thumbnail, title, channel name, date, and status (Live or Deleted).

Filter and sort

Use the controls to refine your results:

Sort — Most relevant, Newest first, or Oldest first
Status filter — All, Live, or Deleted videos
Has Video — Only videos with archived video files
Has Subtitles — Only videos with available subtitles

Search Syntax

You can use special operators to refine your search:

Multiple words — climate change — finds videos containing both words (AND is implied)
Exact phrase — "climate change documentary" — finds the exact phrase in that order
OR — bitcoin OR cryptocurrency — finds videos containing either word
Exclude words — python -snake — finds "python" but excludes results mentioning "snake"

Searches are case-insensitive. Bitcoin and bitcoin return the same results.

What Gets Searched

The search looks across these fields:

Video titles — the name of the video
Video descriptions — the description text below the video
Channel names — the channel title

Likes and Dislikes

Many videos show the likes and dislikes they had on a given date, and the date sits right next to them. The side that won is coloured, so the reception reads at a glance.

This is the one thing on the card you cannot look up anywhere today. YouTube stopped showing dislike counts on 13 December 2021, so a video removed after that keeps no public trace of them.

Not every video has these numbers. When nothing was ever recorded, nothing is drawn: an empty spot means we know nothing, not that the video had no votes.
